In an effort to further support new agents in their business, Teranet partnered with Mortgage Professionals Canada to introduce the New Agent Priority Package – a solution for agents who have been in the industry for two years or less, which allows them leverage the power of PurView at a discounted rate!
In Year 1 of the program, new agent users benefit from 15 free PurView for Mortgage Broker property reports that helps them get better acquainted with the PurView platform and the data included. In Year 2 of the program, users will receive a 40% discount on their annual PurView for Mortgage Brokers subscription which is equal to $300 for 50 reports.
To see how new agents are leveraging this program in their business, we spoke with Yolanda Voogjarv, a new agent who has made the most of the New Agent Priority Package to find success in her business. Here’s what she had to say:
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!
I’ve worked in the financial services industry for 12 years and I’ve learned so much along the way! I started my career at one of the big banks after university and thought I would have a long career in investments. Well, it turns out I absolutely fell in love with mortgages! I live in Southern Ontario with my family and have a wonderful career with DLC FC Funding since September 2022.
Q: Why did you become a mortgage agent?
I knew I loved mortgages after I pre-approved my very first clients at the bank. I distinctly remember how elated this lovely couple was and when I told them their maximum purchase price, she cried happy tears! Then I cried happy tears for them! They never thought they could afford home ownership and it was such a gift that I was able to partner with them to make their dream happen.
Q: How has PurView benefited you in your business?
PurView has revolutionized my role as a mortgage agent in Ontario. With its detailed insights into ownership history, current registered mortgages, liens, and more, I can make informed decisions swiftly, enhancing efficiency and trust with clients. I’m able to see a potential issue or get ahead of a problem with the insightful reports that PurView provides!
Q: Has the New Agent Priority Package program helped you better serve your clients?
Yes! As a new agent, most of us are not bringing in a lot of commission right away so any cost savings is extremely important. I highly recommend the New Agent Priority Package to all new agents!
Q: What sections of the PurView property report did you find beneficial during your first year?
Confirming who owns the home (it’s surprising sometimes when people forget the a parent originally cosigned, etc!), the mortgages registered and the amount (which has really helped me with switching a mortgage from one lender to another as it can be easy to tell if it’s a collateral mortgage or not!), and I LOVE seeing the ownership history as it’s just fun to see who owned the house and for how long.
