Christine Xu first began her mortgage career as an agent in 2000. For 24 years, she has dedicated her career to working with clients to offer solutions and help them overcome hurdles that property owners may experience. Christine has been named as “Mortgage Global 100” (2023/2022/2021) and is a 5-time winner of the Canadian Mortgage Award as “Alternative Mortgage Broker” of the year by CMA. In 2019, Christine also started a Mutual Fund Trust, Ready Capital MIT, to provide investors a vehicle to invest in private mortgages.

Tell us a bit about yourself, your current role, your path to this role and why you enjoy being a part of the mortgage industry.
I started my mortgage career as a mortgage agent in 2000 when I could not get my own mortgage approved at schedule A banks as a self-employed financial advisor. In the past 24 years, I have enjoyed every day of being a mortgage broker providing solutions to borrowers to overcome their hurdles of being property owners for their personal use and business adventures. I have three times named as “Mortgage Global 100” (2023/2022/2021) and 5 times winner of the Canadian Mortgage Award as “Alternative Mortgage Broker” of the year by CMA. In 2019, I started a Mutual Fund Trust, Ready Capital MIT, providing investors a vehicle to invest in private mortgages.
