When she’s not working with clients, Carey stays active in her community as the founder of No One Goes Hungry in the Niagara Region. This charity feeds thousands of high school students struggling with food security daily and supports YWCA shelters. Carey has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Canadian Mortgage Award for Excellence in Philanthropy in 2020 and 2024, the Mortgage Excellence Award for Community Service in 2023, and Niagara Region’s Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2023. Carey is also a proud mother of four amazing daughters and is married to a wonderful partner.

What value do you believe PurView delivers?
PurView provides a full picture of the value and gives us a starting point for value, this is imperative for refinances. I believe that the biggest value PurView offers is as agents we know what the registered mortgages are (first and second and even third mortgages) and who is on title (co-signers etc.) the date of purchase and if there is a collateral or standard charge mortgage. I believe every agent should be as informed with a full picture when trying to offer a solution. There is nothing worse than finding out bad news at the lawyers on closing day!

Tell us a bit about yourself, your current role, your path to this role and why you enjoy being a part of the mortgage industry.
I’ve been in the industry almost nine years and with the DLC Group of companies. Currently I am a team lead with 15 agents working under me. I’m enjoying the coaching and mentoring portion of my career. I love to educate our clients and provide an amazing client journey. Our team is in the top five in Central Canada with Mortgage Architects.
